I am a Salem Wedding Photographer and this wedding was held in Salem at the Mission Mill Museum. This was my first authentic mexican wedding. The ceremony was all in Spanish and it was a full catholic service. It was 90 minutes of not understanding a word. However, the reception was absolutely amazing. Everyone was excited, partying, and there were lots of neat traditions. The photos above depict two native wedding traditions. I can’t remember exactly what the traditions were for, but in the first picture the groom drinks out of his shoe (nasty) and in the second picture people run around the bride and groom who are standing on a chair and bump into them (kind of like a moshpit). I would love to do another mexican wedding because it was so much fun!
